A host of new Durham restaurant and entertainment options have popped up this summer, and even more are slated to open later this year. Which new additions are you looking forward to trying?
1. Coffee and churros in Lakewood
Cocoa Cinnamon’s third location will open in the Lakewood neighborhood this coming year. The location will feature a micro-roastery and made-to-order churros along with the same delectable coffee and chocolates you can find at Cocoa Cinnamon’s two other Durham locations.

As the newest brewery to enter Durham's craft beer scene, Durty Bull intends to bring some panache to the city’s suds. The brewery is located in a 6,000-square-foot brick building in Durham’s Central Park district, only two blocks from Fullsteam Brewery. It houses a 15-barrel brewing system, almost 30 barrels for aging beer, and two massive foudres. The foudres – behemoth-sized barrels – are an essential part of the process of brewing sour beer. And sour beer is Durty Bull's specialty.
