Who are your influences? My time spent with Vivian Howard at Chef & the Farmer has directly formed me as a chef. That was an incredible experience that I will always cherish. After that, this community also drives me – there are many brilliant chefs in Durham.
If someone could only order one item off of your menu… Our menu is in constant flux. We change concepts of dishes multiple times a week. One thing I would definitely recommend is our monthly price fixed tasting menu. It’s driven by a seasonal ingredient or seasonal theme, and the menus are always dynamic and affordable.
Why Durham? I grew up in Durham. It's amazing to me that I can live downtown and also work here now. I love seeing the constant evolution of our city; it reminds me to push forward every day and to better myself.
